At today's meeting at Iffezheim, the Andreas Suborics-trained Near Lady shone with an excellent maiden win on her second time out in the Winterkönigin Trial for 2YO fillies, emphatically recommending herself for the G3 Preis der Winterkönigin in five weeks time. The full sister to the G3 St. Leger winner Near England dominated the 1600 metres under Clément Lecoeuvre with an impressive gate-to-wire run, giving her an easy win by one and a quarter lengths.
