NEXT MINE finished a strong third in his first outing of the year, which took place on a group level. The three-year-old Waldemar Hickst-trained Dabirsim colt competed in the €55,000 Dr. Busch Memorial (Gr.3) over 1,700 metres against Derby hopefuls and took an excellent third place under Thore Hammer-Hansen. NEXT MINE, who is owned by Eckhard Sauren, is an offspring of our top mare NEXT HOLY, a sister to the champion horses NEXT DESERT and NEXT GINA from the family of Pakistan Star, the most successful German-bred horse who is enjoying his retirement at the Living Legends in Australia.
Behind NEXT MINE followed the Andreas Suborics trained NAME LORD in our colours in fourth place.
